There are over 200 species of Owl worldwide and most are solitary, nocturnal hunters. Owls have a flat face with a disc around each eye
and the feathers making up this disc can be adjusted to focus sounds onto the owls' asymmetrically placed ear cavities. This allows them to
locate prey, even those making very faint noises at great distances, then fly in slowly and almost silently to make the kill.
