Also known as Puddle Ducks, there are 50-60 species of Dabbling Duck worldwide. They feed primarily on aquatic vegetation, "dabbling" on the surface of the water or "upending" to graze on shallow bottoms. They also forage on land, grazing with similar motions as surface feeding.
