Black Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)

Black Squirrels are actually Eastern Grey Squirrels but with a dominant, melanistic gene. They evolved in the dark forests of the northeast where not being easily seen meant less chance of being eaten by predators. Since they have a unique look, I am showing them seperatly.
