A member of the Nightshade family (Solanaceae), it is also known by many other names including Blue Bindweed, Climbing Nightshade, Poisonberry, Scarlet Berry, Trailing Bittersweet, and Violet Bloom. Native to Eurasia, it is an invasive species in North America.
