There are over 9,000 species of Crabronid Wasp worldwide and they are solitary wasps that as adults feed on nectar, but are parasitical
as larvae. The adult female excavates a small nest in sand, mud, or plants and then provisions it with paralyzed insects or spiders.
She then lays an egg on each victim and when the egg hatches, the larvae feeds on its still living host.
